To celebrate the Official US Marines Birthday, the US Embassy and a platoon of US Marines organised a fabulous gala dinner at the Imperial War Museum. The US Ambassador and 350 VIP guests attended a sumptuous dinner, followed by dancing until the early hours. The Marines celebrated the occasion in full ceremonial uniform with a presentation of the US Flag, speeches and an informal rendition of music by a musical few. Fizz prepared a stunning 5 course dinner starting with a delicious Scottish smoked salmon and strawberries in a balsamic dressing followed by a full baron of beef paraded in front of guests, and served with mini bonsai vegetables and a champagne & port sauce.
