Set in the stunning Dali Universe on the Southbank, guests enjoyed an exquisite meal surrounded by an evocative and controversial selection of Dali paintings and sculpture. This modern collection – the second largest in Europe – provided diner’s with abundant talking points. The overall effect was enhanced through the use of professionally managed audio-visual effects and delicately placed lighting. This created an awe inspired atmosphere throughout the evening.
From the first sip of champagne and ice cold raspberry vodka served on an illuminated red tray, guests were greeted with the striking red and black theme chosen to compliment Dali’s work. Black clothed tables were adorned with huge Winter roses & a cracked ostrich egg display set on a black lacquer stand, dazzling gold plates and goblets with beautiful red Venetian glasses. As always the small touches count. Red apple scented soaps and thick white hand towels were placed in the bathrooms, Single red roses were tied to individual place cards, written in gold calligraphy, and the welcome table and corridors was scattered with rose petals for that romantic touch.
